Using the White Light method

While this is a variant of the usual white lighting used in new age beliefs, the way it is used here is very ancient. As an example, early Hebrew texts speak of this process as being The Middle Pillar Way.

This is a simple method for opening up to the Light. With practice it’s also an avenue for accessing your Guides and higher levels of awareness. Start by sitting in a comfortable chair and relaxing, let yourself enjoy the feeling and really relax. Take at least three deep, cleansing breaths in your nose and exhale out the mouth. When you are feeling ready, imagine a tube of white light coming down over you, and see it all around you in your mind's eye. Breathe it in through your nose.

Then just imagine the light coming down through the top of your head (Crown Chakra) and filling your body as it moves down to your feet. You may feel warmth or tingles etc, as the light-energy comes in, and I want you to take special notice of how it feels to you. If your mind wanders away just focus back on the light above you and continue with the exercise. To start with, keep bringing light into your body until you feel very full, sometimes it comes in quickly and other times you will need to pull it in and down through every nook and cranny in the body.

When you feel full of light, stay in it for as long as you choose. It’s good for you. I regularly ask people to sit in the white light everyday because it will have other effects that are beneficial to you. Many people have reported that they feel as if they’re ‘home’ or feel ‘loved’ when they sit in the light for at least five minutes a day. And many have discovered for themselves the clarity they get, the feeling of strength they find in themselves and the relaxation of being away from the worries of the world. This is the basic use for the method, and it’s intended for you to feel these things; in the way you will feel them. Don’t be afraid, you are in god’s light.

You can extend this meditation by directing the White Light into each Chakra and 'imagining' them growing larger, and being cleaned out until the colour is pure and bright. Don't forget that our Chakras open to the front and the rear of our body too. This you can do for yourself at anytime.
